Three little pigs set off to build their own houses. “Time to build a home of our own!” they cheered.

The first little pig built a house of straw — quick and easy. “All done!” he said, and ran off to play.

The second little pig built a house of sticks — a bit sturdier. “Mine’s done too!” he said, and ran off to play.

The third little pig worked hard, laying brick by brick. It took all day, but his brick house was strong and sturdy.

Along came a big grey wolf, hungry for supper. He stopped at the straw house. “Little pig, let me in!” “Not by the hair of my chinny-chin-chin!”

“Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house down!” WHOOSH — the straw house tumbled! The first pig ran to the stick house.

The wolf followed. “Little pigs, let me in!” “Not by our chinny-chin-chins!” He huffed and puffed — and the stick house tumbled too! Both pigs ran to the brick house.

All three pigs were safe inside the brick house. The wolf huffed, and puffed, and HUFFED and PUFFED — but the strong brick house did not move at all.

The wolf puffed until he was all out of breath, dizzy and tired. “Phew! That house is too strong for me,” he sighed. And off he trudged, away over the hill.

The three little pigs danced and cheered in their cozy brick house. From that day on they built everything strong and sturdy — and they all lived happily, safe and warm.
